Testimonials

“Scott did a beautiful job superimposing a wedding picture on a different,  architectural background.”  Specifically, Preservation of memories mostly; i.e. the seniors college graduation picture, a grandson in motion, my mothers 89th birthday, and {restoring} improving and duplicating ancestral photos for all the family to enjoy and remember.

1920 & 1929 photos restored

May 05, 2014 by Jan Trost

I recently had a 1920 and a 1929 family photo restored at Scott Hancock Photo Restoration. The 1920 photo was so badly damaged even the face of a young child had been removed. Scott Hancock Restoration studied the faces of the parents and the other sibling in the photo and brought back to life the face of a beautiful, five-year-old daughter, my aunt Rose. The 1929 family photo was also in need of repair. Scott's attention to details and his historical knowledge of the time captured the hardships of my widowed, immigrant grandmother as she struggled to care for her seven, young children during the Depression. The only memory my mother had growing up was the lavender, lilac tree growing next to her home. Scott added ''lavender'' to the tree, leaving the rest of the 1929 photo in black and white. The picture is beautiful! I now have these two, timeless, family treasures framed and displayed in an area of my home where they can be admired for future generations.
